Calcium Formate Molecular Formula: Ca(HCOO)₂, with a relative molecular mass of 130.0, is a white crystalline or crystalline powder. It is soluble in water, slightly bitter in taste, non-toxic, non-hygroscopic, and has a specific gravity of 2.023 (at 20°C) and a decomposition temperature of 400°C.
Primarily used as a feed additive and an early-strength agent in construction materials, it also finds applications in chemical industries, building materials, and environmental projects such as boiler desulfurization and denitrification.
As a novel feed additive, it exhibits acidifying, anti-mold, and antibacterial properties. As an early-strength agent in construction materials, the recommended dosage is approximately 0.5%–1.0% per ton of dry-mix mortar or concrete.
